[Saturday Night Date with Lee]

One thing Cam had learned when he started moving north: when winter came, motorcycles just didn't cut it. If it had just been the cold, he'd have coped. There were ways around it - heated seats, heated handgrips, even heated vests. The problem was the rain, the snow, the ice, and other drivers' reaction times. He loved his bike, but he also loved being able to breathe unassisted and have full control of all his appendages.

For those reasons, and once he'd gotten a job and decided to stay awhile, he'd searched for and found a vintage Jeep and tuned it up, bumped up the cover and heaters, and called it good. It also, he thought now as he pulled up in front of Lee's house, came in handy for the occasional date.

Flowers in hand, he made his way to her door and knocked.

Closed - Davin

After a week, and a fairly epic snow storm, Cam decided it was try to find work somewhere. It was either that, or packing his duffel and hitting the road again to see what else was down the line. Since he didn't quite trust his bike on the still snow-covered streets, Cam let his feet do the work this time and walked around the place looking for any place that listed help wanted.

He thought it was a stroke of luck, or maybe fate, that he not only found the sign but one that was attached to an automotive garage.

He stepped into one of the bays and called out. "Hello? Anyone here?"

Open

Cam hummed to himself as he fiddled with the insides of the woman's car while he waited for it to cool down. It wasn't going to take long considering the air temp had to be somewhere in the forties. But, as he'd explained to the poor, harrassed woman, cars could still overheat in the dead of winter. It took some doing, and he was pretty sure there was more wrong with the engine than just a lack of coolant. So he'd told the woman he'd tinker away at it while she went for the liquid.

He'd offered to go on his bike to get it, but she'd insisted that she needed the walk to get rid of her mad at herself and since she knew the town, she'd be back in a flash.

She wasn't, he knew, going to like what he had to say about her engine, though, and that he could get her home, but that she'd be dropping a fair amount in the very near future if she didn't just scrap the car altogether.

Still. He had his hands in an engine, the sun was shining, and life was pretty damned good.

Find Cam on a road leading towards Siren Cove tinkering in a non-descript sedan on the side of the road, his vintage motorcycle parked behind it.

Plotting page

Welcome to Cam Fielding.

He's tall, good looking, rides a restored vintage BMW motorcycle, and will be looking for work when he hits town (preferably as a mechanic.)

He's an easy going guy, quick to laugh and smile, but not get attached, though he's been tempted a few times to stop his wandering ways. Will he find that in Siren Cove?

He will spend a lot of downtime at any place that sells coffee, or on the beach just sitting and watching the waves.

He's a complete newbie to town, as well as completely ignorant about any magic that doesn't involve rabbits and hats.
